Bob Ross Positive Energy Drink Review

I first saw Bob Ross on TV in the 1980s. My grandma loved to paint and I would watch the Joy of Painting with her whenever she would watch me during the summer.

This was long before Ross hit peak popularity if that has even happened yet. If you look around at the abundance of Bob Ross products being sold, you’d have no idea that Ross died in 1995 if you were new to the Bob Ross scene.

One of the many products that emerged from the Bob Ross craze is the Bob Ross Positive Energy Drink. Below I will let you know if this energy drink is worth drinking or better suited as a novelty item for the shelf.

Bob Ross Positive Energy Drink Review

Taste Test

Given there is a novelty factor to this energy drink, I was expecting the worst. I figured it’d be a syrupy and sweet mess that would be difficult to swallow. However, I was completely wrong.

It had a smooth, blue raspberry and citrus flavor. It was certainly sweet but the sweetness did not overpower the overall taste of the beverage. I have tasted many energy drinks through the years and this one ranks near the top in regard to flavor.

Caffeine Level

Most people expect an energy drink to have a moderate to a high level of caffeine. The Bob Ross Energy drink does not disappoint. A 12 fl. oz. can contains 100 mg of caffeine. While its caffeine is low in comparison to many energy drinks, overall its caffeine is high in comparison to other beverages with caffeine such as soda or iced tea.

The table below reflects a comparison of the caffeine in Bob Ross Positive Energy versus other popular beverages.

Nutrition

The sugar in this energy drink (39g) is equivalent to the sugar in a Coke. Other notable nutrition facts include the 160 calories and 42g of carbs per can. Overall, this is not the healthiest of beverages and something most people should drink in moderation or avoid, especially since it lacks a significant nutritional benefit.

Where To Buy Bob Ross Positive Energy Drink?

We purchased our can at the discount store, Five Below. If you don’t have a Five Below near you or if they are out of stock, you can visit the manufacturer’s Where To Buy webpage. On that webpage, you can type in your Zip Code to reveal stores that carry Boston Ameria Corp. products near you.

Should You Buy It?

We paid $2.50 for a single can of this energy drink so it’s not cheap. That’s the approximate jacked-up gas station price you’d pay for a premium energy drink like a Red Bull. That being said, we think the cool design of the can, the novelty factor, and the delicious taste of Bob Ross Positive Energy Drink warrants a try at least once. This is particularly true if you are a fan of Bob Ross.
