Simply Lemonade is found in the refrigerated beverage section of the grocery store. It is one of our favorite lemonade brands because it is made with only filtered water, lemon juice, cane sugar, and natural flavors. In other words, simple ingredients are used, which fits this lemonade’s name. The ingredients are not genetically engineered and the lemonade is not from concentrate.

The brand is owned by The Coco-Cola Company and was started in 2001 by Minute Maid. Minute Maid has been owned by Coca-Cola since 1960.

Simply produces six varieties of lemonade: Original Lemonade, Lemonade with Raspberry, Lemonade with Blueberry, Lemonade with Strawberry, Light Lemonade, Light Lemonade with Raspberry. Beyond lemonade, the company makes a large assortment of other beverages such as orange juice, apple juice, oat milk, almond milk, and fruit punch.

Turkey Hill

Turkey Hill’s roots come from a milk delivery business in Pennsylvania that dates back over 85 years. The company eventually grew its dairy products business with a big expansion in its ice cream products starting in the 1980s. Today, the company not only produces milk and ice cream but a variety of drinks as well.

Old Orchard is based out of Sparta, Michigan, and began in 1985. The company was started in an old apple orchard where I think we can assume Old Orchard acquired its name. The company makes over 100 juice products (bottled and frozen) so chances are they will have a flavor or two you will like.

The bottled lemonade products produced by Old Orchard are Country-Style, Strawberry, and Organic Blackberry Lemonade (limited edition). They also make frozen concentrated Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, and Watermelon Cucumber Lemonade.

Me & the Bees

Mikaila is the 16-year-old founder of this Austin based lemonade brand. She began studying bees after getting stung twice in one week. She eventually learned the benefits of these sometimes pesky pests. She soon came up with the idea of using an old family recipe for flaxseed lemonade and adding honey instead of sugar as a sweetener. She appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank when she was 9-years-old and landed a deal with investor Daymond John that helped further the success of her business. Honest was launched in 1998 with $250,000 in sales. The company hit $222 million in sales in 2017 and has sold an amazing total of 2.5 billion beverages.

The company sells three organic types of lemonade: Original Lemonade, Mango Lemonade, and Watermelon Lemonade. Additionally, the Honest Kids line makes a lemonade called Berry Good Lemonade.

Despite the tropical theme on Calypso’s bottles, this lemonade brand originates from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was started in 1985 by the King Juice Company. As its popularity grew, the company changed the lemonade’s name to Calypso in 2000. This brand of lemonade was inspired by the “spirit of the islands”, which has influenced the flavors of the beverages.

Calypso focuses on using real lemons and real sugar in its drinks. The lemonade flavors are Original, Ocean Blue, Strawberry, Southern Peach, Island Wave, Triple Melon, Paradise Punch, Kiwi, Black Cherry, Tropical Mango, and Grapeberry. Milo’s was started by Milo and Bea Carlton after Milo came home from serving the United States in World War II. Today, the company is still family-owned and a certified women-owned business. Milo’s specializes in making beverages with simple and real ingredients.

The lemonade has no preservatives and is 100% natural. It is made with only filtered water, pure cane sugar, fresh lemon juice from concentrate, and natural flavors. You can purchase it in gallon and 20oz sizes. The company also makes Milo’s M59 Lemonade with reduced sugar and Stevia sweetener for fewer calories compared to its regular lemonade.

Santa Cruz

Natalie’s was started by Marygrace Sexton in 1989 using her daughter’s name as the company’s name. Marygrace’s family worked in the Florida citrus industry so she recognized the high-quality taste of fresh-squeezed juices made from superior fruits. Today, all of Natalie’s beverages have a maximum of five ingredients in each product. The brand’s lemonade flavors include Natural Lemonade, Strawberry, and Raspberry. If you are looking for an unsweetened lemon flavor to add to water or tea, we highly recommend True Lemon crystallized lemon.
