Lemonade is unquestionably a summertime favorite drink with many people enjoying it beyond that season. However, people tend to grab the same lemonade brand every time they go to purchase it. This might be the store brand or a popular product with a lot of shelf space.

Simply Lemonade is found in the refrigerated beverage section of the grocery store. It is one of our favorite lemonade brands because it is made with only filtered water, lemon juice, cane sugar, and natural flavors. In other words, simple ingredients are used, which fits this lemonade’s name. The ingredients are not genetically engineered and the lemonade is not from concentrate.
The brand is owned by The Coco-Cola Company and was started in 2001 by Minute Maid. Minute Maid has been owned by Coca-Cola since 1960.
Simply produces six varieties of lemonade: Original Lemonade, Lemonade with Raspberry, Lemonade with Blueberry, Lemonade with Strawberry, Light Lemonade, Light Lemonade with Raspberry. Beyond lemonade, the company makes a large assortment of other beverages such as orange juice, apple juice, oat milk, almond milk, and fruit punch.
While The Coca-Cola Company makes Simply Lemonade mentioned above, they also make lemonade under the Minute Maid brand. There are a lot of lemonade products under this brand. Some of these include Minute Maid Premium, Lemonade from Frozen Concentrated, Zero Sugar Lemonade, Just 15 Calories Lemonade, Minute Maid Lemonade Cans (found in the soda aisle), and more. When comparing Simply and Minute Maid lemonade products, Simply is superior based on ingredients and arguably taste as well.
Turkey Hill’s roots come from a milk delivery business in Pennsylvania that dates back over 85 years. The company eventually grew its dairy products business with a big expansion in its ice cream products starting in the 1980s. Today, the company not only produces milk and ice cream but a variety of drinks as well.
Turkey Hill’s lemonade products include Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Light Lemonade, Raspberry Lemonade, Blackberry Lemonade, Pomegranate Lemonade, Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade, and Watermelon Lemonade.
Tropicana is best known for making orange juice. However, they also produce numerous other fruit-based beverages, including lemonade. Its premium lemonade products are Regular Lemonade and Raspberry Lemonade. They use simple ingredients to make their lemonade, which makes them comparable to Simply Lemonade. For example, the Tropicana Regular Lemonade has the following ingredients: filtered water, lemon juice, sugar, and natural flavors. Tropicana is a subsidiary of PepsiCo.

Newman’s makes premium lemonade products comparable to Simply Lemonade and Tropicana Premium. Florida’s Natural has been making orange juice since 1933. However, it wasn’t until the 2010s that they launched seven flavors of lemonade. These beverages are Lemonade, Light Lemonade, Lemonade Strawberry, Lemonade Blackberry, Lemonade Pomegranate, Lemonade Raspberry & Peach, and Lemonade Iced Tea.
Old Orchard is based out of Sparta, Michigan, and began in 1985. The company was started in an old apple orchard where I think we can assume Old Orchard acquired its name. The company makes over 100 juice products (bottled and frozen) so chances are they will have a flavor or two you will like.
The bottled lemonade products produced by Old Orchard are Country-Style, Strawberry, and Organic Blackberry Lemonade (limited edition). They also make frozen concentrated Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, and Watermelon Cucumber Lemonade.
Me & the Bees
Mikaila is the 16-year-old founder of this Austin based lemonade brand. She began studying bees after getting stung twice in one week. She eventually learned the benefits of these sometimes pesky pests. She soon came up with the idea of using an old family recipe for flaxseed lemonade and adding honey instead of sugar as a sweetener. She appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank when she was 9-years-old and landed a deal with investor Daymond John that helped further the success of her business. The lemonade products made by Me & the Bees are Classic Lemonade, Lemonade With Prickly Pear, Lemonade With Iced Tea, Lemonade With Ginger, and Lemonade With Mint. Honest is another brand of The Coca-Cola Company. Most people are probably familiar with Honest Tea or Honest Kids. The company does, however, have an Honest Lemonade line of beverages.
Honest was launched in 1998 with $250,000 in sales. The company hit $222 million in sales in 2017 and has sold an amazing total of 2.5 billion beverages.
The company sells three organic types of lemonade: Original Lemonade, Mango Lemonade, and Watermelon Lemonade. Additionally, the Honest Kids line makes a lemonade called Berry Good Lemonade.
Despite the tropical theme on Calypso’s bottles, this lemonade brand originates from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was started in 1985 by the King Juice Company. As its popularity grew, the company changed the lemonade’s name to Calypso in 2000. This brand of lemonade was inspired by the “spirit of the islands”, which has influenced the flavors of the beverages.
Calypso focuses on using real lemons and real sugar in its drinks. The lemonade flavors are Original, Ocean Blue, Strawberry, Southern Peach, Island Wave, Triple Melon, Paradise Punch, Kiwi, Black Cherry, Tropical Mango, and Grapeberry. They also make light flavors in Strawberry, Ocean Blue, Southern Peach, and Original.
Milo’s was started by Milo and Bea Carlton after Milo came home from serving the United States in World War II. Today, the company is still family-owned and a certified women-owned business. Milo’s specializes in making beverages with simple and real ingredients.
The lemonade has no preservatives and is 100% natural. It is made with only filtered water, pure cane sugar, fresh lemon juice from concentrate, and natural flavors. You can purchase it in gallon and 20oz sizes. The company also makes Milo’s M59 Lemonade with reduced sugar and Stevia sweetener for fewer calories compared to its regular lemonade.
Santa Cruz specializes in producing organic foods and beverage products. The company was launched in the 1970s in the Santa Cruz mountains. It became one of the first companies to create an assortment of organic and 100 percent juices/blends. One of these first organic products was apple juice.
At the time of this article, the company lists on its website eight flavors of lemonade beverages that they manufacture. These lemonades include Classic Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, Raspberry Lemonade, Mango Lemonade, Blueberry Lemonade, Cherry Lemonade, Ginger Lemonade, and Peach Lemonade. Natalie’s was started by Marygrace Sexton in 1989 using her daughter’s name as the company’s name. Marygrace’s family worked in the Florida citrus industry so she recognized the high-quality taste of fresh-squeezed juices made from superior fruits. Today, all of Natalie’s beverages have a maximum of five ingredients in each product. The brand’s lemonade flavors include Natural Lemonade, Strawberry, and Raspberry. Uncle Matt’s is one of the pioneers in producing organic juices. The company’s juices are USDA Organic without GMOs or nasty pesticides. The company was started in 1999 by Matt McLean. His family roots date back four generations in growing high-quality citrus.
While orange juice is the backbone of the company, Uncle Matt’s also makes other superior beverages, including lemonade. These lemonade beverages are Homestyle Lemonade, No Sugar Added Lemonade, and No Sugar Added Strawberry Lemonade.

You may know Califia Farms from its plant-based beverages such as almond milk and coconut milk. However, the company does make a small selection of juices. These juices are Ginger Limeade, Tangerine, Tart Cherry Lemonade, and Meyer Lemonade. The Meyer Lemonade is made with water, lemon juice, pure cane sugar, natural flavor, and monk fruit extract.
The company makes lemonade in 16 fluid ounce bottles with the classic winking lemon as the logo. Snapple is owned by Keurig Dr Pepper and was originally founded in 1972. While the company is well-known for its tea today, the business started by selling fruit juices to health food stores in New York. Snapple didn’t start producing tea until 1987 with the first product being lemon tea.

Nantucket Nectars was launched as a business selling products to yachts in Nantucket. Tom First and Tom Scott (“Tom and Tom”), the founders, soon began selling juice, which caught on with their customers. Kehrig Dr Pepper now owns the company. The lemonade products made under Nantucket Nectars are Squeezed Lemonade, Mango Lemonade, and Red Plum Lemonade.
True Lemon products are made by True Citrus. Its products are made from real citrus with no artificial sweeteners or preservatives. True Lemon Lemonade is made with real lemon juice/oils and is sweetened with the natural sweetener, Stevia.
The lemonade comes in drink mix packets that are mixed with water to make the lemonade. True Lemon lemonade flavors include Original, Raspberry, Strawberry, Wildberry, and Peach. They also make Kids Pink Lemonade packets.
If you are looking for an unsweetened lemon flavor to add to water or tea, we highly recommend True Lemon crystallized lemon. The ingredient is simply crystallized lemon made from citric acid, lemon oil, and lemon juice. A packet adds a ton of lemon flavor without sugar, artificial flavors, sweeteners, etc.
Country Time is a lemonade brand of Kraft Heinz. The brand is known for its powder drink mixes that are mixed with water to create the beverage. Some of the favorite flavors of Country Time are Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Half & Half, and Strawberry Lemonade. In addition to powder drink mixes, they also make ready-to-drink bottles and sparkling canned lemonade.
Crystal Light is another powdered drink mix company that is owned by Kraft. They are known for manufacturing on-the-go singles that are perfect for mixing in a standard size bottle of water. Crystal Light also makes multi-serving canisters and liquid drink mixes. Some of the lemonade flavors are Pink Lemonade, Raspberry Lemonade, and Regular Lemonade.
Dole has teamed up with PepsiCo to manufacture a new line of lemonade beverages. You will find this lemonade down the soda aisle at the grocery store. They come in 20 and 67 fluid ounce bottles and 12 fluid ounce cans. The flavors include Classic Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade. There was/is a tropical lemonade flavor, however, we are trying to confirm it is still made. Dole Lemonade is made with real lemon juice and real sugar.
Brisk is made through a partnership between Pepsi and Lipton. The company makes tea and juice drinks for markets in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Brisk was first launched in 1991 and became a billion-dollar brand of Pepsi by 2012. Brisk makes lemonade and pink lemonade juice drinks. They also produce a popular half & half iced tea/lemonade.
