Yes, Goya Sazón has MSG in it. In fact, it is the most abundant ingredient in the seasoning. All of the Goya Sazón products listed in the table below have added MSG in them.
Food manufacturers regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), like Goya, are required to list added MSG in the ingredients printed on the packaging if a product contains it. It will be listed under its unabbreviated name known as “Monosodium Glutamate”.
MSG provides a savory flavor to foods and is often used as a flavor enhancer in a variety of foods including snack foods, soups, canned veggies, and more. It has been used for over 100 years and is considered “generally recognized as safe” by the FDA.

Keep in mind that there are people reportedly sensitive to MSG. This sensitivity is often referred to as “MSG symptom complex”. Symptoms associated with it have been reported since the late 1960s such as headaches, nausea, flushing, drowsiness, and tingling. The symptoms are often short-lived and purportedly only occur in a small number of people.
