Does Ginger Ale Have Caffeine? (View The Answer)

Ginger ale does not typically contain caffeine. This includes popular brands like Schweppes and Canada Dry.

We confirmed this by reviewing the ingredients of 25+ ginger ale brands to see if they had caffeine. As the table below show, all but one soda had caffeine.

Ale 8 The Original was the only ginger ale with caffeine. It contains 37 milligrams of caffeine per 12 fluid ounces. Its caffeine is similar to the caffeine in Pepsi as an example.

The list of sodas below is not exhaustive so there may be additional ginger ales out there with caffeine. However, the norm is for ginger ale to be made caffeine-free.
